Hat Tip Digital was founded by Mia Aquino in 2018. After a decade+ in the industry as a social media and content strategist, she takes her knowledge and experience on what works, what doesn’t, and what brands can do to really reach their audience in the social space.
Before launching Hat Tip, Mia was the Director, Social Media Marketing at Publishers Clearing House, where she oversaw both the social media and content strategies. Mia led the audience growth, social media, and partnerships strategies at WME | IMG’s fashion OTT Made to Measure, as well as social media strategy at VH1 and Fusion (an ABC-Univision joint venture). She also worked in social media, engagement, and content roles at The Huffington Post, CNN, and in the local markets at KDKA Radio Pittsburgh.
Mia received a B.A. in Journalism from Penn State University and was the spring 2017 commencement speaker at Penn State Beaver. She is an Adjunct Instructor at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, where she teaches social media marketing courses.
